'Flower Oss' lino print
£30.00
This is a handmade black and white lino print of an Oss, a creature that is closely associated with May Day / Solstice celebrations in Cornwall (including Mazey Day in Penzance, from which this particular Oss takes its liking from), as well as Wales (similarities with the Mari Lwyd!). It features a horse's skull with its crown of flowers and flowing ribbons.
You can choose between three different papers:
- Khadi paper - a handmade heavy paper rag that comes with a deckle edge. While it can be mounted, I prefer using float mounting for these types of originals.
- Lokta paper - a handmade light, textured paper, with specks throughout.
- Premium art paper - a natural white lightly textured paper, 300gsm.
Size: approx. A3 (29.7 x 42 cm / 11.7" x 16.5")
Please note that each print is unique! Some might be more textured than others, or have small differences from the one shown, as this is a handmade item using a hand carved lino in a hand press.
Each print is signed.
